Plus it's aroma is well known for it's uplifting properties.

Lavender essential oil is another favourite for cleaning and it's not a wonder. It's a tremendous disinfectant and deodorizer. The word “lavender” comes from the Latin word lavandula, which comes from the Latin verb lavare which means “to wash”. 

It's well known for its calming properties too, leaving your home not only clean and germ free but a lovely calm envionment too.
